In order to keep your car in top condition, AC Deco specifically synthesizes an article containing information on the preventive repair of car-related components.

Car body

Although the parts under the hood are important, the appearance of the car is also very important! Some very simple actions, such as adding a layer of new paint to your car, will not only make your car look a new look, but also prevent the car body from being rusted.

If you do not regularly maintain the body, ignoring the damage caused by the appearance of the car is as serious as neglecting the maintenance of the internal parts of the car. If you do not try to improve the scratches on the car body, the rusting situation can easily start from that part and spread to the entire car. Remember, as long as the car has a place to start rusting, the diffusion rate is faster than you think.

Filter

Look at how much dust accumulates on the car's windshield every day. It's not hard to imagine how much dust and impurities are filtered out every day by the filter on the car. This is why the filter should be routinely inspected or replaced every 5,000 km.

Air filters do not allow contaminants to enter the engine's air intake. However, if you do not regularly maintain the filter, pollutants continue to accumulate, the car's air intake will be blocked and thus affect the fresh air intake, eventually leading to performance degradation of the car, and increase the cost of oil. In the same way, other filters on the car require you to perform regular maintenance and replacement.

cooling system

As a clever owner, you should check your car's cooling system every week, especially when the weather is particularly hot or cold. However, do not open the lid of the cooling system when the body is hot, otherwise you will be easily burned.

In-car sterilization

Make sure that you are using the proper coolant (this part should be specified in your owner's manual) and mix the appropriate amount of water (read the coolant pack for the most suitable blend ratio). It's also a good idea if you can get your car's cooling system or radiator to be cleaned by professional service personnel at least once every two years (this includes cleaning your tank and flushing it with water).

Battery

Although the battery can generally last about 3 to 5 years, you should always pay attention to it. If you are using an AC Deco battery, you can check its charge by looking at the part of the sensor. The color of the electric eye shows whether the battery needs to be charged or replaced. Green indicates that the battery is fully charged and the black meter battery needs to be recharged. If the electric eye appears colorless or yellow, the battery needs to be replaced.

In case you find any corrosion of the battery's pile head, clean the pile head and cable part thoroughly. When cleaning, mix the baking soda and water in a proper amount, and carefully clean the part of the cable connector with a brush. If the corrosion area is too large, replace the cable directly. In 3 to 5 years, you still have to pay attention to it.

Although the battery can generally maintain the work of neglecting the battery of the car, without regular replacement of the battery or cable, it is likely to make you helpless when there is no power. Corroded cables can cause start-up difficulties; if rust is too severe and interfere with the transmission of electricity, it can happen that the car cannot be started.

Belts and hoses

It is advisable that the owner can check the belts and hoses of the car by himself or by a professional when the oil is changed every time or every time.

If the belt or hose is not maintained for a long time, it will slowly wear out, eventually causing the belt to break and the hose to break. Broken car belts can affect fans, cooling systems, and generators. As a result, not only does the engine overheat, it can make your car impossible to hit the road.

If the timing belt is neglected, the consequences may be more serious than the belt problems inside other engines because the timing belt affects the timing of the control valve, which is related to the position of the piston. If the timing belt looses or breaks, the control valve will hit the piston and the cylinder head may require a major overhaul. In serious cases, even a brand new engine can be used to solve the problem. Most of the timing belts have now been designed so that they do not flex freely, and therefore do not need to be adjusted. But if there is a lack of regular replacement, they will wear out over time and eventually break.

Holey water pipes can also cause hard-to-reach results, as the holes quickly leak coolant and prevent the engine from cooling itself, causing the car to overheat. Even if it's just a small hole in the tank, it will leak light coolant bit by bit.

When looking at the hose, look for cracks or fades. These may be where the hose has gradually become scarce and where it eventually breaks. It is important to remember that the cooling system hose slowly deteriorates from the inside out, so some wear may not be immediately visible. For safety reasons, replace the new hose at least every four years.

Brake system

Referring to the maintenance of the brake system, do not wait until the brakes have started to shake (unless you have ABS anti-lock braking system, so that when you encounter an emergency brake, your brakes can still play a normal brake although they are already in a state of vibration Function), or hear a sharp sound (sent by the thickness alarm to remind you that the brake pads have to be replaced) only to think of the need to make a check.

Most experts agree that basic inspections should be performed every 10,000 to 20,000 kilometers, but of course this depends on the habit of the owner driving his car. Because the brake system is not easy to self-test, it is recommended that you can use a professional staff to help you make a diagnosis.

At the same time, remember to check if your brake fluid is adequate. The brake fluid needs to be inspected on a regular basis every month, and an appropriate amount of brake oil is added in accordance with the brake fluid specified in the owner's manual.

When referring to the brake system, you'd better make sure that you can always grasp the condition of your car, because it would be unthinkable to ignore the consequences of braking. In fact, there are reports of accidental accidents on highways. The brake system is often the main cause of accidents. If you do not replace it, and you wait for the brake system to emit a strange sound, the brake drum, pedal, and rotor of your car may have been damaged. As a result, expensive repair costs cannot be avoided. In the event of an emergency, failure of the brakes may also cause serious accidental injury.

Exhaust system

Checking the exhaust system is more suitable for professional personnel to complete, especially when your car is relatively new. For example, the earlier crankcase exhaust vent valve (PCV), a device that controls exhaust gas, was easy to inspect or replace. However, because the new vehicle type has been replaced by a computerized exhaust gas control system, it has become more troublesome to maintain or repair.

When in doubt, have a certified technician review the entire exhaust system including the PCV valve, catalytic converter, and exhaust recirculation valve. This inspection needs to be performed every 10,000 kilometers or every six months.

Of course, you can examine the exhaust gas control system yourself, including the tail pipe and silencer. These exhaust systems need to be checked regularly to ensure that the system is tightly attached to the vehicle and free of rust, breakage or leaks.

If you do not regularly inspect the exhaust system and any part of the exhaust system is already in trouble, your car may be difficult to start, uncomfortable to open, or make noisy sounds. In addition, it also causes environmental pollution.
